An Additional Judge and Two More Competitors Skate into the "Thin Ice" Rink

MASHANTUCKET, CT (January 13, 2010) - Foxwoods Resort Casino and
O'Neil Entertainment today announced a third judge and two more
skaters for "Thin Ice," a live, televised figure-skating reality
competition that will originate from the Premier Ballroom of the MGM
Grand at Foxwoods March 18 through 21, and will air in prime time on
the ABC Television Network on March 19 (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) and March
21 (7:00-8:00 p.m. ET).

Box Office. Tickets range from $40 to $100.
Katarina Witt, twice Olympic Champion, four-time World Champion, will
be a judge of the competition, joining previously announced Kristi
Yamaguchi and Dick Button. Co-hosts of the program are four-time
World Champion Kurt Browning and Elisabeth Hasselbeck, Emmy
Award-winning host of ABC's The View.
Since winning her skating medals, Ms. Witt has also launched a
successful career in television. She hosted two seasons of German
television's Skating with Celebrities, and appeared as a judge on the
German version of Dancing with the Stars. This past fall, her work as
guest judge on CBC's Battle of the Blades was highly praised in
Canada.
The two additional skating competitors announced today are:
- Jamie Sale of Canada, 2001 World Champion, 2002 Olympic Champion as a pairs skater, and winner of the inaugural Battle of the Blades with partner Craig Simpson, and;
- Patrice Lauzon, five-time Canadian National Champion and twice World Silver Medalist as an ice dancer.
Today's announcement brings to seven the number of entries declared in the 12-skater field. Previously committed skaters are:
- Shizuka Arakawa, Japan, 2006 Olympic Champion;
- Shae-Lynn Bourne, Canada, 2003 World Champion ice dancer;
- David Pelletier, Canada, 2001 World Champion, 2002 Olympic Champion as a pairs skater;
- John Zimmerman, three-time U.S. National Champion and World Bronze Medalist as a pairs skater, and;
- Michael Weiss, three-time U.S. National Champion and World Bronze Medalist.
